USGBC Wisconsin and Green Veterans connect at several community events in support of local sustainability efforts and organizations while spreading the word about GV Wisconsin Rock The Green Earth Day Celebration, presented by Milwaukee Riverkeeper Sustainability Summit at Milwaukee Area Technical College which took place May 3-4th. Green Veterans Wisconsin has building relations with the Center for Veterans Issues, and has partnered with American Legion Post 331 – to host a Friday Fish Fry event at Legion post.
On March 1, 2017, USGBC Wisconsin helped to launch a new local initiative of Green Veterans, as an expansion of the Florida group, which was founded in 2013.

Shennetta Stockton always dreamed of owning her own home. After her tour of service in the United State Army, she finally bought a fixer upper with intentions of doing Improvements later. Ms. Stockton is a Disabled Army Veteran who suffers from (PTSD) and other health related disorders. Due to undue stress triggers, she has trouble holding down a job.
